WMS — WMS map
Inserts a WMS map as a georeferenced image.
- Command:
WMS· Global name:_WMS - Ribbon: Mapping › Map services
- Menu: Mapping
Adds a map from a WMS (Web Map Service) as a live map layer: a georeferenced image of the visible area, reprojected to the drawing system, requested again after panning or zooming.
Use
- Type WMS or click the button: MAPCONNECT opens with the WMS servers. Pick the connection, click Connect, check the layers, choose format, server system, background and style, and click Load.
Notes
- The layer is managed in ONLINEMAPS: on/off, transparency, order, refresh and clipping (MAPCLIP).
- If the server does not offer the drawing system (Catastro has no 25828, Canary Islands), another one it offers is requested and converted. The background is transparent (PNG) by default, so the orthophoto below shows.
- The drawing needs a coordinate system (GEOGRAPHICLOCATION). Built-in servers: MAPSERVICE.
