WFS — WFS vectors
Imports entities from a WFS service (as GeoJSON).
- Command:
WFS· Global name:_WFS - Ribbon: Mapping › Map services
- Menu: Mapping
Imports entities (vectors) from a WFS (Web Feature Service) as drawing objects with their attributes, reprojected to the drawing coordinate system. Like MAPIMPORT, but from the web.
Use
- Type WFS or click the button: MAPCONNECT opens with the WFS servers. Pick the connection, click Connect, check the class and click Load. Each class goes to a layer named after it, with colour and label; Add with query filters by view, by property or with CQL.
Notes
- Reads GeoJSON (with whatever format name the server announces:
application/json,geojson…) and, if the server only gives GML (Spanish Cadastre INSPIRE, CartoCiudad, IGN), simple GML 3.2/3.1/2: points, lines and polygons with holes and their attributes. With GML the box is requested in a system the server accepts. - With a CQL filter and the view at once, the box goes inside the CQL (GeoServer does not accept both separately).
- If as many features as the limit arrive, or the server says there are more, Next page brings the next ones (some servers stop earlier, IDENA at 1000).
- Built-in servers: MAPSERVICE.
