MAPCLIP — Clip map

Clips the map layer to the visible area or to a boundary.

• Command: MAPCLIP · Global name: _MAPCLIP
• Ribbon: Mapping › Map services
• Menu: Mapping

Clips the chosen map layer without losing anything: it is the clipping boundary of its image, like IMAGECLIP.

Use

1. Choose the layer in ONLINEMAPS or right-click the map in the drawing.
2. Type MAPCLIP and choose: - View (Enter): to the visible area. - Manual: to a rectangle or a polygon you pick. - Remove: removes the clipping.

Notes

• A clipped layer stops refreshing by itself (the clipped part is what you want to keep); Refresh in this area requests it again and keeps the clipping in place.
