SUPERHATCH — Super hatch
Fills boundaries by repeating a block or an image as the pattern, or with a wipeout.
- Command:
SUPERHATCH· Global name:_SUPERHATCH - Ribbon: Home › Draw
Fills closed boundaries by repeating a block or an image as the pattern, or covers them with a wipeout, like the Express Tools SUPERHATCH; in addition to the HATCH patterns.
Usage
- Type SUPERHATCH or click Super hatch.
- Select the closed boundaries and press Enter; those inside another one are islands and are not filled.
Select the closed boundaries to fill or [Internal point]:
- Type the name of a block in the drawing (or choose an option).
Name of the block to fill with or [Image/Wipeout]:
Options
- Internal point (I): instead of selecting, click inside the areas, as in HATCH: their boundary and islands are taken. Enter goes on.
Specify internal point:
- Image (I): type the file of a raster image; it is tiled at the size IMAGEATTACH inserts it at scale 1.
Image file:
- Wipeout (W): a wipeout (WIPEOUT) for each outer boundary, which hides what is below.
Notes
- The boundary can be a closed polyline, a circle, an ellipse, a closed spline or a region.
- The pattern is tiled over the bounding box of the boundaries at scale 1 and the copies whose center falls in the filled area (outside the islands) are kept. Copies crossing the boundary are not clipped.
- An external reference works as a block (it is inserted the same way).
- The copies are plain INSERT objects (or images); a single UNDO removes them all.
- No dialog box: the options of the Express Tools dialog box are on the command line. The wipeout leaves no holes for the islands.
