LinceCAD SAVEAS — Save As
Saves with another name, format or version.

Saves the drawing under another name, in another folder, in another format (DWG or DXF) or in another version, so that older programs can open it. Afterwards, the open drawing becomes the new file.
Usage
- Enter SAVEAS or press Ctrl+Shift+S. The save dialog box opens with the DWG 2018 format.
- In the menus (application menu or File), Save As opens a list of target versions: choose one and then the file name.
- Enter the name and click Save. The status bar confirms the path and the version.

Saving as a template
With DWT (template) you choose the .dwt file and the Template Options dialog box opens: enter the Description (shown by the start page when the mouse is over the template) and choose the Measurement (Metric or English, the MEASUREMENT variable). They are saved in the file, where AutoCAD saves them, and AutoCAD shows them too.
Notes
- When saving to an older version, proxy objects of external applications are kept or left out the way AutoCAD does it (depending on each object version), and the status bar says how many are left out.
- AutoCAD Architecture objects of a DWG 2007 or later drawing cannot be saved to DWG 2000, 2004 or 2007: the program warns and does not save.
- It is saved with the same protections as QSAVE: temporary file and
.bakcopy. - For PDF, PNG or SVG use EXPORT or PLOT.
