EXPORT — Export

Exports the drawing to another format.

Exports model space or the current layout to vector PDF or SVG, or to a PNG image. It uses the same Plot dialog box as PLOT: paper, area, scale and plot styles are chosen the same way.

Usage

1. Enter EXPORT (or EXP) or click its button. The Plot dialog box opens.
2. Set the paper, area, scale and plot style table (see PLOT). For a PNG, set the resolution in PNG:.
3. Click OK, enter the file name and choose its type. The extension decides the format:

• .pdf: vector PDF. Texts are drawn from their font (SHX strokes or TrueType outlines), so they look the same on any computer.
• .svg: vector drawing for web browsers and design programs.
• .png: image at the chosen resolution.

Notes

• To convert the drawing to DXF or another DWG version, use SAVEAS.
• Tables are exported to CSV with TABLEEXPORT and geographic data with MAPEXPORT.
• AutoCAD's WMF, BMP, STL and similar formats are not available.
