LinceCAD RECOVER — Recover
Opens a damaged drawing, recovering what can be read.

Opens a damaged DWG or DXF drawing, recovering everything that can be read. Records that cannot be understood are skipped instead of stopping the reading, and then the same safe repairs as AUDIT are applied.
Usage
- Enter RECOVER or click its button.
- Choose the file in the dialog box. It opens in a new tab.
- The command line shows the report: how many records were damaged or could not be read, the audit result and the repairs made.
- Check the drawing and save it with QSAVE or SAVEAS to keep what was recovered.
Notes
- The recovered drawing is marked as modified: until you save it, the original file does not change.
- It is a good idea to save it under another name (SAVEAS) to keep the original.
- If a drawing opens fine but has errors, AUDIT is enough.
