AUDIT — Audit
Evaluates the integrity of the drawing and fixes the safe errors.
- Command:
AUDIT· Global name:_AUDIT - Ribbon: Manage › Drawing
- Menu: File
Checks the integrity of the open drawing and, if asked, fixes the errors that can be repaired safely. Useful with drawings that come from other programs or that cause problems when saving.
Usage
- Enter AUDIT or click its button.
- Say whether you want the errors fixed.
Fix any errors detected? [Yes/No] <N>:
- The command line shows how many records were checked, the errors and warnings found and the first problems; with Yes, also how many repairs were made and how many errors remain.
Options
- Yes (Y): repairs what is safe: indexes, null handles, owners of block entities and the handle seed.
- No (N, or Enter): only reports; the drawing does not change.
Notes
- Doubtful issues (duplicate handles, references to objects that do not exist) are never fixed: they are only reported.
- Repairs are undone with UNDO. Save the drawing to keep them.
- If the file does not even open, use RECOVER.
