TEXTFIT — Fit text

Fits the width of a text to a point.

• Command: TEXTFIT · Global name: _TEXTFIT
• Ribbon: Annotate › Text

Fits the width of a single-line text so it reaches a new point, changing its width factor and keeping the height.

Use

1. Type TEXTFIT or click its button.
2. Select the text.

3. Specify the end point; the text stretches or shrinks to reach from its start to there.

Notes

• Only the width factor and rotation of the text change; the height stays the same.
• The start is the text insertion point; the text rotates towards the end point you specify.
• Works with single-line text (TEXT); for a paragraph use MTEXT.
