SPOTELEVATION — Spot elevation

Queries the terrain elevation at a point, interpolated from the surface.

Queries the terrain elevation at a point, interpolated in the triangle of the surface that contains it, and optionally labels it.

Usage

1. Enter SPOTELEVATION (COTAMDT) or click Spot elevation.

Select surface:

2. Select the surface (SURFACE).

Pick a point or [Label] (label: …) <eXit>:

3. Pick the point: its elevation is shown at the command line, as with ID. With the Label option (L) before the point, a point at that elevation and a text with it are also drawn. Enter repeats the command.

Notes

• Interpolation is linear within the triangle: it respects the breaklines of the surface.
• Outside the surface (or in a hole) there is no elevation.
