SELECT — Select

Selects objects and keeps them selected for the next command.

Command: SELECT · Global name: _SELECT

Selects objects and keeps them selected: the next command uses them without asking again, as if they had been selected before starting it. It is the AutoCAD SELECT used by many scripts and AutoLISP routines.

Usage

Enter SELECT (or DESIGNA).

Select objects:

Select the objects (click, window, crossing or ALL for all) and press Enter.
Start the command that will use them: ERASE, MOVE, COPY…

Notes

AutoCAD's Previous (P) option to reuse this selection inside another command is not available yet: the objects stay selected and the next command takes them.
