SELECTSIMILAR — Select Similar

Selects objects similar to the selected ones.

Selects all objects similar to the ones already selected: of the same type, on the same layer and, for block references, texts and dimensions, with the same block or style name.

Usage

1. Select one or more sample objects, with no command active.
2. Enter SELECTSIMILAR or click its button.
3. All objects similar to any of the samples are selected; the command line says how many.

Notes

• With no objects selected, the command only warns: Select the sample objects first.
• The objects of the current space (model or the open layout) are searched.
• The criteria are fixed (type, layer and name, as AutoCAD's default setting); the Settings option to choose them is not available yet.
