QNEW — Quick new

Starts a drawing with the template set in OPTIONS.

• Command: QNEW · Global name: _QNEW
• Toolbar: Standard

Starts a new drawing with the template chosen in OPTIONS › Open and Save › QNEW template, without asking. It is what the New button of the Quick Access toolbar and of the Standard toolbar does.

Usage

1. Enter QNEW or click the New button of the Quick Access toolbar.
2. A tab opens with an unnamed drawing made from that template.

Notes

• With None (ask) (the LinceCAD default, as in AutoCAD), QNEW asks for the template like NEW.
• With a template chosen, the startup drawing (Drawing1) also comes from it.
