PDFCLIP· Global name:_PDFCLIP - Ribbon: Insert › Import
Shows only part of a PDF underlay: what lies inside a rectangular or polygonal boundary or, with the boundary inverted, what lies outside it. The PDF does not change: the boundary can be turned off or removed later.
Usage
- Enter PDFCLIP or click the button.
- Select the PDF underlay.
Select PDF underlay to clip:
- Choose the option; Enter creates a new boundary, which replaces any existing one.
Enter PDF clipping option [ON/OFF/Delete/New boundary] <New>:
- Choose the boundary type; Enter, rectangular.
Outside mode: objects outside the boundary will be hidden. Specify clipping boundary [Polygonal/Rectangular/Invert clip] <Rectangular>:
- For a rectangular one, specify two opposite corners.
Specify first corner point:
- For a polygonal one, specify the vertices and press Enter (or choose Close) when there are at least three.
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]:
Options
- ON / OFF (ON / OFF): turns on or off the boundary the underlay already has.
- Delete (D): removes the boundary; the whole page is shown again.
- New (N): draws a new boundary.
- Rectangular (R) and Polygonal (P): the boundary type.
- Invert (I): switches between hiding what is outside and hiding what is inside.
Inside mode: objects inside the boundary will be hidden. Specify clipping boundary [Polygonal/Rectangular/Invert clip] <Rectangular>:
- Undo (U): in a polygonal boundary, removes the last vertex.
Notes
- The boundary is saved in the underlay as in AutoCAD. The change is undone with UNDO.
