IMPORTMAP — Import plan, orthophoto or map
Brings the cadastral plan, the PNOA orthophoto and a base map of the area you choose in one go.
- Command:
IMPORTMAP· Global name:_IMPORTMAP - Ribbon: Mapping › Map services
- Menu: Mapping
Brings, for a single area of interest, the cadastral plan (parcels, buildings and labels), the IGN PNOA orthophoto and a base map in one go, with their layers already named and each source credited. It gathers in one dialog what used to take several steps: CADASTREDOWNLOAD and the map layers of MAPCONNECT.
Use
- Type IMPORTMAP (or IMPORTARPLANO). Import plan, orthophoto or map opens.
- 1. Area of interest: choose how to give the area. The default is the Cadastral reference (14 or 20 characters). The others: Address and Polygon and parcel (with the province and municipality from the Cadastre lists; if there are several parcels, the dialog lists them so you can pick one), Municipality (the CartoCiudad geocoder), Coordinates (geographic WGS84 or drawing), Current view and Window in the drawing (click Pick window… and mark two corners in the drawing).
- 2. What to import: Cadastral plan (Parcels, Buildings and, as an image from the Cadastre WMS, Sub-parcels), PNOA orthophoto (IGN) with its Resolution (automatic, 10, 25 or 50 cm, 1 m) and Base map (IGN as WMTS or WMS, MTN raster, OpenStreetMap).
- 3. Options: Margin around the area, Maximum area size (side), Maximum size of each image, Cadastral plan transparency (image), parcels as Entities or Map layer (WMS), Label the cadastral reference and the Layers: scheme.
- Click Import. Vectors are downloaded in the background in 200 m tiles (with a progress bar and Cancel); the images arrive by themselves, under the drawing, and show when finished. Everything is undone at once with UNDO.
What it leaves
| Layer | Content |
|---|---|
| CATASTRO-PARCELA, CATASTRO-EDIFICIO, CATASTRO-TEXTO | Parcels, buildings and references (LinceCAD scheme, as CADASTREDOWNLOAD) |
| parcela <rc>, construccion <rc>, parcela_near <rc>, construccion_near <rc> | The same with the PV project scheme (CadFVTools): the area parcel and its surroundings |
| MAPA-ORTOFOTO, MAPA-BASE, MAPA-CATASTRO | The images, stacked in that order (base, orthophoto, cadastral plan) |
| MAPA-FUENTE | The source of the vectors; each image source is labelled next to it |
The command line summarises the area, what was drawn, the images requested, the sources and the warnings. If the drawing has no coordinate system, the one the area suggests is set (ETRS89 UTM 29, 30 or 31; WGS84 UTM 28 in the Canary Islands) or the one you pick; areas by view or window need it to be set already (GEOGRAPHICLOCATION).
Notes
- Sources: Dirección General del Catastro (INSPIRE WFS for parcels and buildings, WMS), IGN (PNOA, base map, CartoCiudad; CC BY 4.0, scne.es) and OpenStreetMap (occasional use). Credit them wherever you use the data.
- Usage limits: 30 requests per minute to the Cadastre (when reached, it waits); what is downloaded from the Cadastre is kept for 7 days and the images reuse the map cache. The area is cropped to the maximum size and each image to its pixel limit.
- The digital terrain model and LiDAR are not imported from here: use IMPORTARMDT and MDTIGN.
- If the Cadastre does not answer for some tile, you are told and what arrived is drawn: repeat the command to complete.
- Outside Spain the Cadastre and PNOA have no data.
