COPYCLIP — Copy Clip
Copies the selection to the clipboard.
- Command:
COPYCLIP· Global name:_COPYCLIP· Shortcut: Ctrl+C - Ribbon: Home › Clipboard
- Menu: Edit
Copies the selected objects to the LinceCAD clipboard, without changing the drawing. They can then be pasted into this drawing or another open one with PASTECLIP, PASTEORIG or PASTEBLOCK.
Usage
- Select the objects and press Ctrl+C (or enter COPYCLIP). With objects already selected, they are copied at once.
- If nothing was selected, select the objects and press Enter.
Select objects:
- The command line says how many objects were copied.
Notes
- The base point is the lower-left corner of the selection: when pasting, that corner goes to the point you specify. To choose another base point, use COPYBASE.
- The layers, linetypes, styles and blocks the objects use are copied too, so the paste is the same in another drawing.
- The clipboard belongs to LinceCAD: it works between the open drawings, but not for pasting into AutoCAD or other programs. The Windows clipboard only receives a text summary (how many objects and of which types).
- Ctrl+C only acts with an empty command line and no active command; in a text box it copies the text.
