PASTECLIP — Paste
Inserts the contents of the clipboard.
- Command:
PASTECLIP· Global name:_PASTECLIP· Shortcut: Ctrl+V - Ribbon: Home › Clipboard
- Menu: Edit
Pastes into the current drawing what was copied with COPYCLIP, CUTCLIP or COPYBASE. The pasted objects are ordinary, independent objects, with their layers and styles.
Usage
- Press Ctrl+V or enter PASTECLIP.
- Specify the insertion point. While you move the cursor, the outline of the copy is shown.
Specify insertion point:
- The objects are placed with their base point at the specified point.
Notes
- You can paste several times in a row: pasting does not empty the clipboard.
- The layers, linetypes, styles and blocks the objects use that are missing from the drawing are added with them.
- If the clipboard is empty, the command says so and ends.
- To paste at the same place they had, use PASTEORIG; to paste as a single block, PASTEBLOCK.
- Ctrl+V only acts with an empty command line and no active command; in a text box it pastes the text.
