PASTEORIG — Paste to Original Coordinates
Pastes the copied objects at their original coordinates.
- Command:
PASTEORIG· Global name:_PASTEORIG - Ribbon: Home › Clipboard
- Menu: Edit
Pastes the copy at the same coordinates it had in the source drawing, without asking for a point. Use it to move objects from one drawing to another without shifting them.
Usage
- Copy the objects in one drawing with COPYCLIP or CUTCLIP.
- Switch to the target drawing (its tab or Ctrl+Tab).
- Enter PASTEORIG or choose it in the Edit menu. The objects appear where they were.
Notes
- As with PASTECLIP, the layers, styles and blocks the objects use that are missing from the drawing are added.
- Pasting into the same drawing leaves an exact copy on top of the original.
- If the clipboard is empty, the command says so and ends.
