WORKSPACE — Workspace
Sets, saves, renames or deletes workspaces.
- Command:
WORKSPACE· Global name:_WORKSPACE - Ribbon: View › Interface
Opens the Workspaces window, which switches workspaces and saves, renames or deletes user workspaces. A workspace remembers how the interface is laid out:
- the ribbon or the menus and toolbars of the Classic workspace, and the ribbon state (full, tabs only or panel titles);
- the command line, docked or floating, and its transparency;
- for each palette (Properties, Layers, Blocks, Tool Palettes, DesignCenter and external references): whether it is open, whether it floats or is docked left or right, whether it auto-hides, its width and its position.
Usage
- Enter WORKSPACE or click the button. The window lists the workspaces; the current one is marked (current).
- Choose one and click Set Current (or double-click it): the interface changes at once.
- To save the current layout, type a name in Name: and click Save Current As… or press Enter.
Buttons
- Set Current: applies the selected workspace and makes it current.
- Delete: deletes the selected workspace. The built-in ones and the current one cannot be deleted.
- Rename: gives the selected workspace the name typed in Name:. Built-in ones cannot be renamed.
- Save Current As…: saves the current layout with the typed name; a workspace with that name is replaced.
Notes
- Two are built in: Drafting & Annotation and Classic. You can overwrite them by saving with their name.
- The ⚙ gear on the status bar shows the current workspace: its menu lists them all to switch with one click, and also has this window, save current and the interface customization.
- Workspaces and which one is current are saved in
espacios.txt, in the configuration folder (%APPDATA%\lince; on Linux,~/.config/lince), and restored when the program starts. - Until they are overwritten, the built-in workspaces have every palette closed and floating.
