VSCURRENT — Visual Styles
Changes the visual style of the current viewport.
- Command:
VSCURRENT· Global name:_VSCURRENT· Alias:VS - Ribbon: View › 3D Views
- Menu: View
Changes the visual style of the current viewport, like AutoCAD VSCURRENT.
Usage
- Enter VSCURRENT (or VS), click the button on the View tab or choose the style in its list.
Enter an option [2dwireframe/Wireframe/Hidden/Realistic/Shaded/shaded with Edges/X-ray] <current>:
- Choose the style; Enter keeps the current one.
Options
- 2D Wireframe (2): the usual drawing; in plan view it is drawn exactly as in 2D.
- Wireframe (W): all lines and edges, hiding nothing.
- Hidden (H): faces hide what is behind them and take the background color, with their edges.
- Realistic (R): lit faces with highlights, without the face edges.
- Shaded (S): smoothly lit faces, without the face edges.
- Shaded with edges (E): like shaded, with the edges.
- X-Ray (X): translucent faces and all edges.
- In scripts the AutoCAD abbreviations with
_also work (_2,_W,_H,_R,_S,_E,_X).
Notes
- The style is saved in the viewport with its VISUALSTYLE object (created with the AutoCAD name if the drawing does not have it) and AutoCAD opens the drawing with the same style.
- Lines, arcs, texts and hatches show in every style; 3D faces, meshes and the walls of objects with thickness are filled in the styles with faces. The color of the assigned material (of the object or its layer) tints the faces; the light is fixed, from the viewer (the drawing lights are used by RENDER).
- Without a GPU (LINCE_GPU=0) 3D views are drawn as wireframe.
