VIEWBASE — Base view
Creates the drawing view of 3D solids and its projected views.
- Command:
VIEWBASE· Global name:_VIEWBASE
Creates in the current space (normally a layout) the drawing view of the 3D solids of the model and then its projected views, like AutoCAD's VIEWBASE.
Usage
- Type VIEWBASE. Select the solids and press Enter (Enter with no selection takes all 3D solids of the model).
Base view orientation [Top/Bottom/Front/Back/Left/Right/SW/SE/NE/NW/Current] <Front>:
- Give the scale (
2,1:2) and the style: Visible (visible lines only), Hidden (visible and hidden lines; the hidden ones go on theMD_Hiddenlayer with a dashed linetype) or Shaded. - Specify where the base view goes.
- Each point you specify afterwards creates a projected view on the matching side of the base (third-angle projection): above, the top view; to the right, the right view, and so on. Enter finishes.
Result
- Each view is a reference to an anonymous block with the lines on the
MD_Visible,MD_Hidden,MD_HatchandMD_Shadedlayers. - Its XDATA (
LINCE_VISTA3D) keeps the solids, the direction, the scale and the parent view, to derive sections and details with VIEWSECTION and VIEWDETAIL. - AutoCAD opens the drawing with the view as an ordinary block (AUDIT 0).
Notes
- Views are not updated when the solid changes: create them again.
- No silhouette edges on curved surfaces and no tangent lines; the shading is a simple gray one.
