VIEWSECTION — Section view
Creates a section view of a drawing view along a cutting line.
- Command:
VIEWSECTION· Global name:_VIEWSECTION
Creates a section view of a drawing view, like AutoCAD's VIEWSECTION.
Usage
- Type VERSECCION and pick the parent view (a view created with VIEWBASE).
- Specify the two points of the cutting line.
Specify the location of the section view (the side sets the direction of sight):
- The side of the line where you place the view is the direction of sight: what lies behind the cutting plane is kept.
Result
- The view is aligned with the parent, with the cut area hatched (45-degree lines on
MD_Hatch). - In the parent the cutting line is drawn with its arrows and letter (A, B...), and under the section its title and scale.
Notes
- The parent must be a base, projected or detail view.
- The hatching is made of lines, not an associative HATCH object.
