VIEWDETAIL — Detail view

Creates an enlarged view of a circular or rectangular area of a drawing view.

• Command: VIEWDETAIL · Global name: _VIEWDETAIL

Creates a detail view: a circular or rectangular area of a drawing view, enlarged to its own scale, like AutoCAD's VIEWDETAIL.

Usage

1. Type VERDETALLE and pick the parent view.

Boundary shape [Circular/Rectangular] <Circular>:

2. Specify the center and a point on the edge (circle) or the two corners (rectangle).
3. Give the detail scale (twice the parent's by default) and place the view.

Result

• The detail clips the parent's lines to the area (including a section's hatching) and enlarges them.
• The boundary is drawn in the parent and in the detail, with the letter and the scale title.
