SURVEYCODES — Code table
Edits the field code table: line, point or block, with its layer and colour.
- Command:
SURVEYCODES· Global name:_SURVEYCODES· Alias:CODETABLE - Ribbon: Topography › Points
- Menu: Survey
Edits the field code table: what is drawn for each code the surveyor writes in the field book or the data collector.
Usage
- Enter SURVEYCODES or click Code table on the Survey tab.
- In the dialog, each row is a code with its type (line, point or block), its layer, its colour, the block and its scale (for block codes), whether the line is 3D, and a description. Add codes with Add code and remove them with Remove; Default values restores the initial table.
- Click OK to save it.
On the command line:
Code table … (… codes) [Reset] <Close>:
Field coding
The description of each point is the code followed, separated by spaces, by its modifiers:
| Modifier | What it does |
|---|---|
I or S | Starts a new line at that point. |
F or E | Ends the line at that point. |
C | Ends the line and closes it to its first point. |
A | The point is the middle of an arc through the previous point, this one and the next. |
P<d> | Also draws an offset line at distance d (positive to the left of the direction of travel), for example P0.5. |
A code with trailing digits (BOR1, BOR2) uses the row of the code without them (BOR), but each one is a separate line: this is how two kerbs are surveyed at the same time.
Notes
- The table is the text file
codigos_topo.txtin the user data folder, with one row per code:codigo;tipo;capa;color;bloque;3d;escala;descripcion. It can be edited by hand; Enter on the command line creates it with the default values if it does not exist yet. - The TOPO_ARBOL, TOPO_FAROLA, TOPO_POSTE and TOPO_ARQUETA blocks are built in and are created in the drawing when used; any other block must be defined in the drawing.
