QUICKPROPERTIES· Global name:_QUICKPROPERTIES· Alias:QP
Turns the quick properties panel on or off: a small floating panel that appears next to the cursor when you select objects with no command running, with the key editable properties of the selection.
Usage
- Enter QUICKPROPERTIES (or click its button) to turn it on or off. The state is kept in the variable QPMODE (1 on, 0 off), which can also be changed with SETVAR.
- With the panel on, select one or more objects with no command running: the panel appears next to the cursor.
- Edit the properties directly in the panel, as in the PROPERTIES palette.
- The panel closes when you deselect or start a command.
Properties shown
The general ones (layer and color) and the key properties of the selected type:
- Line: length and angle.
- Circle: radius and diameter.
- Arc: radius, total angle and arc length.
- Polyline: length and whether it is closed.
- Text: contents, height and rotation.
- Block: name and rotation.
- Dimension: style and measurement.
With objects of several types only the common (general) properties are shown.
Notes
It is a reduced, floating version of the PROPERTIES palette; it shares with it the logic for reading and editing properties by type. It does not appear in test scripts.
