ORTHO — ORTHO

Ortho mode.

• Command: ORTHO · Global name: _ORTHO · Shortcut: F8

Turns ortho mode on and off: while a command asks for a point from another, the cursor is restricted to the horizontal or vertical of the last point. Use it to draw straight lines by hand without typing coordinates. Also with F8 or the ORTHO button on the status bar.

Usage

1. Enter ORTHO, or press F8 or the ORTHO button.

Enter mode [ON/OFF] <…>:

2. Choose ON or OFF; Enter leaves the state as it is.

Notes

• Ortho and polar tracking (POLAR) exclude each other: turning one on turns the other off.
• The state is the ORTHOMODE variable.
