Places points (or a block) along an object at intervals of a given length, measured from one of its ends. The object is not cut.
Usage
- Enter MEASURE (or ME) or click Measure.
- Select the object near the end you want to measure from.
Select object to measure:
- Enter the length of each segment.
Specify length of segment or [Block]:
Options
- Block (B): instead of points, inserts a block of the drawing at each mark, rotated to follow the direction of the object at that point or not rotated.
Enter name of block to insert: Align block with object? [Yes/No] <Y>: Specify length of segment:
Notes
- Lines, arcs, circles, polylines, ellipses and splines can be used. On an open object, measuring starts at the end nearest the point where it was selected; the last segment may be shorter. If the last mark falls exactly on the far end, it is placed too.
- If the length is so small that more than 100,000 objects would be created, the program says so and creates none.
- The points are shown with the style set by PTYPE.
