LAYERSTATE — Layer States
Opens the Layer States Manager.
- Command:
LAYERSTATE· Global name:_LAYERSTATE· Alias:LAS,LMAN - Ribbon: Home › Layers
- Menu: Format
Opens the Layer States Manager. A layer state saves under a name how all layers are set (on, frozen, locked, color, linetype, lineweight...) so that you can return to that setup later. Layer states are saved in the drawing.
Usage
- Enter LAYERSTATE (or LAS) or click Layer States… in the LAYER.
- To save the current setup, click New…, type the State name and, optionally, a Description, and click Save. A state with the same name is replaced.
- To return to a state, choose it in the list and click Restore (or double-click it).
Controls
- Delete: deletes the chosen state; the layers do not change.
- Layer properties to restore: check boxes that decide what is restored from the chosen state: On/Off, Frozen/Thawed, Locked/Unlocked, Plot/No Plot, New VP Frozen, Color, Linetype, Lineweight and Transparency.
Notes
- Restoring a state can be undone with UNDO or with LAYERP.
- From the command line, the stAte option of -LAYER saves, restores and deletes states.
- Layer states are stored in the drawing in the same place as AutoCAD's.
