-LAYER — Layers (command line)

Manages layers from the command line.

Manages layers from the command line, without windows: useful in scripts and in LISP. It does the same as the LAYER: create layers, set the current one, rename them and change their properties.

Usage

  1. Enter -LAYER (or -LA).
Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/Freeze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]:
  1. Choose an option. Options that change a property ask for the value first and then for the layers:
Enter name list of layer(s) (wildcards allowed) <…>:
  1. After each option the first prompt comes back. Press Enter to finish.

Layer lists accept several names separated by commas and wildcards (*, ?, #, @, ~). Pressing Enter without typing anything applies the option to the current layer.

Options

Enter name list for new layer(s) (comma-separated):
Enter color (number from 1 to 255, standard name or R,G,B):
Enter transparency value (0-90):
Enter a layer state option [?/Save/Restore/Delete]:

Save saves the current setup under a name, Restore brings it back, Delete deletes it and ? lists the saved states.
