IMAGEPERSP — Correct perspective
Corrects the perspective of an image (IFIX style) with 4 points and generates its world file.
- Command:
IMAGEPERSP· Global name:_IMAGEPERSP· Alias:IFIX - Ribbon: Insert › Image and tracing
Corrects the perspective of a raster image (IFIX style): with 4 points it straightens a quadrilateral into a rectangle, for example a façade or a plan photographed at an angle. The result is saved to a new PNG file with its world file (.wld), next to the original (which is not touched), and the drawing image is relinked to it.
Usage
- Enter IMAGEPERSP (or IFIX) or click the button.
- Select the image.
Select the image whose perspective to correct:
- Specify the 4 corners of what should become rectangular, in order: lower left, lower right, upper right and upper left.
Specify corner … of 4 (lower left, lower right, upper right, upper left):
Notes
- The straightened image is placed axis-aligned, with the lower-left corner at the first point.
- The world file (.wld) records the position and scale for GIS programs and for GEOIMAGE.
- The original file is not changed: the result goes to a new file
<name>-ed.png.
