HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY — Generate Boundary
Creates non-associated polylines around selected hatches.
- Command:
HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY· Global name:_HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY - Ribbon: Home › Draw
- Menu: Draw
Creates closed polylines around the selected hatches: one for each boundary, the outer one and that of each island. It is used to recover the boundary of a hatch that has lost it (for example, one that comes from another program or has been disassociated).
Usage
- Enter HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY or click the button.
- Select the hatches and press Enter. If hatches were already selected, those are used.
Select hatch objects:
- The program reports how many boundaries it has created.
Boundaries created: ….
Notes
- The polylines follow the straight segments and arcs of the boundary; ellipses and splines in the boundary become short straight segments.
- They are created on the current layer. The hatch is not associated with them; for that, use the Boundary recreate option of HATCHEDIT.
- Other objects can be included in the selection: only hatches count.
