HATCHEDIT — Edit Hatch
Modifies the pattern, scale, angle, gradient or boundary of a hatch.
- Command:
HATCHEDIT· Global name:_HATCHEDIT· Alias:HE - Ribbon: Home › Modify
Changes the pattern, scale, angle, gradient, origin or boundary of an existing hatch. It also opens when you double-click the hatch.
Usage
- Enter HATCHEDIT (or HE), or double-click a hatch. If a hatch was already selected, that one is edited.
- Select the hatch.
Select hatch object:
- Change the values in the Hatch and Gradient dialog box (Hatch or Gradient tab) or with the command-line options.
Enter an option [Pattern/sCale/Angle/Gradient/Origin/inHerit/Disassociate/ASsociate/Separate/Boundary recreate] <exit>:
- Press Enter or OK to apply the changes.
Options
- Pattern (P): name of the new pattern (
?lists them). - sCale (C): new scale, greater than 0.
- Angle (A): new angle in degrees.
- Gradient (G): switches to a gradient, or changes its type, angle and whether it is centered.
- Origin (O): new origin point of the pattern; it is applied at once.
Specify new hatch origin:
- Disassociate (D): the hatch stops following its boundary.
- ASsociate (AS): select closed objects; they become the boundary of the hatch, which is associated with them.
Select boundary objects:
- Separate (S): a hatch with several separate areas is split into one hatch per area (each with its islands).
- Boundary recreate (B): creates a polyline for each boundary of the hatch and associates the hatch with them.
Notes
- A hatch read from a drawing with a pattern that is not in the LinceCAD library keeps its definition: its scale and angle can be changed.
- When the scale is changed, the pattern goes back to its definition origin (the origin chosen with Origin is lost).
- To create the boundary polylines without associating them, use HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY.
