ETRANSMIT — eTransmit
Packages the drawing and its dependent files in a ZIP.
- Command:
ETRANSMIT· Global name:_ETRANSMIT - Ribbon: Output › Export
Packages the drawing with every file it needs to look the same on another computer: external references, images, PDF underlays, SHX and TTF fonts and plot style tables. The result is a ZIP file with a transmittal report.
Usage
- Save the drawing and enter ETRANSMIT. The eTransmit dialog lists the files in the package with the path they will have inside the ZIP; files that cannot be found show as (not found) and are left out.
- Check Keep the drawing paths as they are if the packaged drawing should keep its original paths. Unchecked, the packaged drawing points to its files with paths relative to the package, which is usually what you need to send it.
- Click Create Transmittal… and specify the ZIP name. The dialog shows the Transmittal Report.
What the package contains
- The drawing and, with its relative path, each dependent file. Files outside the drawing folder go into subfolders:
xrefs/,imagenes/,pdf/,fuentes/andestilos_trazado/. - Transmittal report.txt: each file with its path in the drawing and in the package, and the missing ones.
Notes
- The original drawing is not changed: rewriting the paths only affects the packaged copy.
- The drawing must be saved before packaging it.
