DIMBASELINE — Baseline
Creates linear dimensions from the same baseline.
- Command:
DIMBASELINE· Global name:_DIMBASELINE· Alias:DBA,DIMBASE - Ribbon: Annotate › Dimensions
Creates several dimensions measured from the same origin. Each dimension line is offset from the previous one by the DIMDLI distance of the dimension style, so that they do not overlap.
Usage
- Enter DIMBASELINE (or DBA).
- The command starts from the last linear or aligned dimension in the drawing, from its first extension line. If there is none, select the base dimension.
Select base dimension:
- Specify the second extension line origin. A dimension is created from the common origin to that point and the prompt repeats.
Specify a second extension line origin or [Undo/Select] <Select>:
- Press Enter to finish.
Options
- Undo (U): removes the last dimension created.
- Select (S): selects another base dimension. The common origin is the extension line closest to the point you click.
Notes
- Linear, aligned, angular (each arc DIMDLI farther from the vertex) and ordinate dimensions are accepted as the base.
- New dimensions use the current dimension style (DIMSTYLE).
- If its points lie on the geometry (endpoint, midpoint, center...), the dimension is associated with it and follows it when it is moved, stretched or scaled (DIMASSOC). With an annotative dimension style, the dimension is annotative.
