- Command:
SOLID· Global name:_SOLID· Alias:SO - Ribbon: Home › Draw
- Menu: Draw
Draws filled triangles and quadrilaterals (2D solids). They can be chained to form a strip.
Usage
- Enter SOLID (or SO) or click 2D Solid.
- Specify the first and second points: they form one side.
Specify first point: Specify second point:
- Specify the third point.
Specify third point:
- Specify the fourth point, or press Enter to create a triangle and finish.
Specify fourth point or <exit>:
- After the fourth point, the third and fourth become the first side of the next solid: go on with more third and fourth points, or press Enter to finish.
Notes
- The order of the points is AutoCAD's: the first and second form one side and the third and fourth the opposite side, in the same direction. If you give them in circular order (1, 2, 3, 4 around the figure), you get a bow tie.
- To fill areas of any shape, use HATCH with the SOLID pattern.
