LAYTRANS — Layer Translator
Translates the layers of the drawing to those of another drawing or standard.
- Command:
LAYTRANS· Global name:_LAYTRANS - Ribbon: Home › Layers
Translates the layers of the drawing to those of another drawing or standard: objects move to the target layer, which takes the color, linetype and lineweight of the reference. LinceCAD does it on the command line, without the Layer Translator dialog box.
Usage
- Enter LAYTRANS.
Enter the drawing or standard with the target layers:
- Type
source=targetmappings; the source accepts wildcards (WAL*=A-WALL). Map same applies to the layers that already have the same name as in the reference.
Enter source=target, Map same or <Translate>:
- Enter (or Translate) translates: the source layer is deleted if it ends up empty (never 0 or the current one).
Notes
- The result can be undone with UNDO.
- It does not save the mapping file and does not change the linetype if the reference uses one that is not loaded.
