LAYMCUR — Make Current

Makes the layer of the selected object current.

Makes the layer of an object current: whatever you draw next goes on that layer. It is quicker than looking for the layer by name when an object on it is in view.

Usage

1. Enter LAYMCUR or click Make Current on the ribbon.

Select object whose layer will become current:

2. Select an object. Its layer becomes the current layer and the command ends.

Notes

• If objects are selected before the command starts, the layer of the first one is used without asking.
• A frozen layer cannot be the current layer.
• The change can be undone with UNDO or with LAYERP.
