- Command:
IMAGEPAINT· Global name:_IMAGEPAINT· Alias:IPIN - Ribbon: Insert › Image and tracing
Draws and erases strokes on a raster image, for example to cover a blemish or mark something on a scanned plan. The stroke is burned into the pixels of a new PNG file, next to the original (which is not touched), and the drawing image is relinked to it.
Usage
- Enter IMAGEPAINT (or IPIN) or click the button.
- Select the image.
Select the image to draw on:
- Trace the polyline point by point. Press Enter to burn the stroke and finish.
Specify next point or [Colour/Width/Erase/Undo] or <finish>:
Options
- Colour (C): stroke colour (black, White or Red).
- Width (W): stroke width in pixels.
- Erase (E): toggles erase mode (leaves the pixels transparent).
Notes
- The points are specified in the drawing; you can snap to the image's own corners and edges.
- Erase leaves transparency; choose a colour again to keep drawing.
- The original file is not changed: the stroke goes to a new file
