HIDEOBJECTS — Hide Objects
Hides the selected objects.
- Command:
HIDEOBJECTS· Global name:_HIDEOBJECTS - Ribbon: View › Isolate
- Menu: View
Hides the selected objects until isolation ends. It is the opposite of ISOLATEOBJECTS: here you select what is in the way.
Usage
- Enter HIDEOBJECTS or choose Hide Objects on the ISOLATE button of the status bar.
- Select the objects you want to hide and press Enter. If they were already selected before starting the command, they are hidden without asking.
Select objects:
- To see them again, use UNISOLATEOBJECTS or End Object Isolation on the same button.
Notes
- It can be used several times in a row: each time more objects are hidden, and UNISOLATEOBJECTS shows them all.
- It does not change the drawing: nothing is saved or undone and the visibility of layers is not touched.
- Hidden objects cannot be seen, selected or used with object snaps.
- Known limit: hidden objects show again if the whole view is rebuilt (for example, when changing the color of a layer or switching to a layout).
