EATTEXT — Attribute Extraction
Extracts block attributes to a table or a CSV, choosing blocks and columns.
- Command:
EATTEXT· Global name:_EATTEXT - Ribbon: Insert › Attributes
Extracts the attributes of the model space blocks to a table in the drawing or to a CSV file, choosing the blocks and columns, like AutoCAD EATTEXT.
Usage
- Enter EATTEXT. In the Attribute Extraction dialog box, tick the blocks and attributes (the Block, X and Y columns are always included).
- Choose the output: a table in the drawing (click OK and specify its insertion point) or a CSV file.
In scripts, SCRIPT and AutoLISP there is no dialog box: it is ATTEXT.
Notes
- AutoCAD does it with a multi-page wizard (with object properties, filters and a .dxe extraction file); LinceCAD with a single dialog box and attributes only. For template formats, use -ATTEXT. The dialog box cannot be scripted in the AutoCAD console: it has a unit test.
