DIMTEDIT — Edit dimension text

Moves or rotates the text of a dimension.

• Command: DIMTEDIT · Global name: _DIMTEDIT · Alias: DIMTED
• Ribbon: Annotate › Dimensions

Moves or rotates the text of a dimension, like AutoCAD 2027 DIMTEDIT.

Use

1. Type DIMTEDIT.
2. Select the dimension.

3. Specify the new text position or choose an option.

Specify new location for dimension text or [Left/Right/Center/Home/Angle]:

Options

• Left (L) and Right (R): the text goes next to the first or the second extension line (a DIMJUST override in the dimension, as in AutoCAD).
• Center (C): the text, centered on the dimension line.
• Home (H): the text goes back to the position given by the style.
• Angle (A): rotates the text by the angle you enter.

Notes

• In linear dimensions, when the text is dropped elsewhere the dimension line goes through it (with DIMTMOVE 0, the ISO-25 value).
