ACTUALIZARDATOS — Update data links
Re-reads the file of the linked tables.
- Command:
ACTUALIZARDATOS· Global name:_DATALINKUPDATE· Alias:DLU - Ribbon: Annotate › Tables
Re-reads the source file of each linked table (DATALINK) in the drawing and refreshes its contents, keeping the table position, style and layer; or, the other way round, writes what the tables hold to the file (AutoCAD's Write data link).
Use
- Type DATALINKUPDATE or click its button.
- Choose Update data link (Enter) to read the files or Write data link to write to them.
Select an option [Update data link/Write data link] <Update data link>:
- It reports how many tables were updated (or written) and how many failed (for example, if the file is missing).
Notes
- It rebuilds each table with the current data from the file: if the number of rows or columns changed, the table adjusts.
- It only affects tables created with DATALINK; the others are left unchanged.
- Write data link only writes to CSV files: the whole file or, if the link has a range, only the cells of the range, keeping the rest of the file. An Excel workbook is not written (LinceCAD reads it with a read-only library, and rewriting it would lose its formats and formulas): an error says so.
