FACETRES
Type: real · Stored in: drawing · Initial value: 0.5
How finely the curved faces of solids, regions and surfaces are divided into triangles, from 0.01 (very coarse) to 10 (very fine). With 0.5 a circle or a cylinder is divided into 6° steps; doubling the value halves the steps. It affects how they look and what is computed on the tessellation (silhouettes).
Notes
- B-spline surfaces are divided by their knot spans, more finely the higher FACETRES is.
- Faces the program cannot evaluate (rolling-ball fillets and other procedural surfaces without an approximation saved in the drawing) are shown only with their edges.
