LinceCAD UPDATEFIELD — Update Fields
Updates the fields of the selected objects.
- Command:
UPDATEFIELD· Global name:_UPDATEFIELD· Alias:UPDFIELD - Ribbon: Annotate › Text
Evaluates the fields of the selected objects again, so that they show their current value: today's date, the new length of a line that was stretched, the file name after saving it under another name...
Usage
- Enter UPDATEFIELD (or UPDFIELD).
- Select the texts, multiline texts or block references with attributes that hold fields and press Enter. Type ALL to update those of the whole drawing.
Select objects:
- The number of updated fields is reported.
Notes
- All the fields of the selection are updated, including the date, which does not change on its own when the drawing is opened or saved.
- In block references, the fields of their attributes are updated.
- If you select the objects before starting the command, they are updated without further prompts.
- Fields are created with FIELD; those that come in AutoCAD drawings are updated too.
