UCSICON — UCS Icon
Controls the visibility and placement of the UCS icon.
- Command:
UCSICON· Global name:_UCSICON - Ribbon: View › Coordinates
- Menu: Tools
Shows or hides the UCS icon (the X and Y axis arrows in the corner of model space) and decides whether it is drawn at the UCS origin.
Usage
- Enter UCSICON or click the button.
- Choose an option; Enter shows it.
Enter an option [ON/OFF/All/Noorigin/ORigin/Selectable/Properties] <ON>:
Options
- ON (ON) and OFF (OFF): shows or hides the icon.
- ORigin (OR): draws it at the UCS origin, if the origin is visible on screen; otherwise, at the lower left.
- Noorigin (N): always draws it at the lower left.
- All (A): in AutoCAD it applies the option to all active viewports; LinceCAD has a single model viewport, so it already applies to all.
- Selectable (S): toggles the setting. Here the icon cannot be selected to move it with grips.
- Properties (P): the UCS Icon Properties dialog with the Icon size (5 to 95 %), the Line width (1 to 3) and an Own icon color. There is no 2D/3D style or cone: the icon is 2D in plan views and 3D in 3D views.
Notes
- The setting is the UCSICON variable and it is saved with the drawing, as in AutoCAD. It can also be changed in UCSMAN.
- In the world system the icon has a small square where the axes meet; with a UCS, it does not.
