BOX — Box
Creates a solid box.
- Command:
BOX· Global name:_BOX
Creates a solid box (cuboid) as an ACIS 3DSOLID, just like the ones AutoCAD writes.
Usage
- Enter BOX (CAJA) or click Box.
First base corner:
- Pick the first base corner and the opposite corner (they set the length and width).
Height:
- Type the height (or pick it as a distance). The box is created.
Notes
- The base is at the Z of the first point if you type
x,y,z(e.g.0,0,3) and otherwise at the current elevation (ELEV); the box grows towards +Z. An opposite corner with another Z (10,5,6) gives the height without asking for it. The same holds for the base point of WEDGE, CYLINDER, CONE, SPHERE, TORUS and PYRAMID. - The solid is an exact ACIS 3DSOLID: AutoCAD audits it with no errors and MASSPROP reports the correct volume.
